Images of Wessex
Thank you for visiting this gallery and I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures. In this gallery you'll find images of the seascapes and landscapes of the dramatic county of Dorset and its surrounding areas, called Wessex by Thomas Hardy in his novels. They are from my original artwork. I visit each place making sketches and colour notes and note down the atmosphere of each location. I also take photos to remind me of the mood there.
The medium I use is coloured crayons, slowly building up the image with layers of soft crayoning. Both ordinary crayons and watercolour crayons are used,but no water!
The images in this gallery are for sale as A4 Giclee Fine Art prints, either mounted or unmounted. The price includes p and p within the UK or abroad via Royal Mail. They are printed on Somerset Enhanced paper made from 100% cotton.
