Biography of Liz Thomas
Born in Singapore, the daughter of an RAF pilot, Liz has always loved both travelling and drawing. She graduated from Goldsmith's College, University of London, with a degree in Textiles/ Fashion.Then she went on to do a Post-graduate Art Teacher's qualification, receiving a double-distinction. For two years, she was a teacher in Royal Deeside, Scotland.Later, she trained as a TEFL teacher and went to live in Greece for six years. After completing the two-year art course at Tobias School of Art, Liz spent nine months travelling round the world, sketching every day. Her favourite destinations were New Zealand and the Cook Islands.
Since her return in 2005, the varying landscapes of Dorset have inspired her to utilise her coloured crayon technique to portray them in their ever-changing moods.
