Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you will enjoy looking at my pictures in the galleries. My work mainly portrays seascapes and landscapes in the dramatic county of Dorset. The medium I use is coloured crayons. The colours build up slowly and it takes me about a week to complete each picture.I sketch in situ, making colour notes ,taking photos to remind me of the atmosphere of the place. While I was sketching the Hellstone Dolmen, I had to actually shelter in the structure when it started to snow! Also, while I was drawing at Hengistbury Head, the wind was so strong that it whipped the pencil out of my hand several times!
There is also a 'Rest of the World' gallery which shows my watercolour work, using the veil technique of slowly building up washes of overlapping pale watercolour.
The pictures are available for sale as A4 Giclee Fine Art prints in the Wessex Landscapes and Seascapes gallery and the Rest of the World gallery, mounted or unmounted, the price includes postage and packing within the UK or abroad via Royal Mail.
There are also A5 and A6 size greetings cards for sale in their own galleries on this site. Just choose the one you want. I also offer giftpacks of A6 cards, where you can choose the images you want in your pack, which are sent to you in a presentation folder. The perfect gift!
All the prints and cards are printed on Somerset Enhanced paper, made from 100% cotton.
